1. Destination Weddings
More and more couples are choosing destination weddings over the traditional ones these days. A destination Kerala wedding trends combines the fun of a wedding and a vacation guaranteeing a good time to everyone involved. Rajasthan, Goa, Kerala, Bali have been the most favourite venues for weddings. However, the hottest destinations of 2019 for a wedding are Oman, Sri Lanka, Mussorie and Lonavala.
2. Jewellery
2018 was the year of opulence and we saw lavish weddings and lots of bling last year. The brides last year wore jewellery that was over the top, be it elaborated matha Patti. But it is 2019 and minimalism is back, so the jewellery trend will not be any different. This year brides should focus on precious/semiprecious jewels ( diamond, white gold) that bring out your beauty without being too much.
3. Bridal Veil
This year is all about going ‘back to the roots’ when we talk about the wedding traditions. Many pretty brides are opting the dupatta as a veil to be an important part of their outfit. In Indian tradition, veils have been a mark of respect and were believed that it wards off the evil spirit and protects the new bride. Sheer veils have also been used as an accessory in bridal pictures depicting the bride’s beauty.
4. Mehendi Designs
Boring, dull and complicated Mehendi designs require a lot of time and patience and a millennial bride has neither. The brides love to enjoy their Mehendi functions dancing with their friends and thus go for minimal and clean designs. What we love in 2019 is that grooms are not shying away from flaunting their Mehendi design too!
5. Wedding Decor
This year the wedding decor trend is on rising with people opting for larger than life decorations at the wedding venues. While 2018 was the year dedicated to fresh flower decorations, the dominating element in 2019 will be the lighting. We will see interesting decor ideas using bulbs, candles, LED lights that make fairytale weddings come true.
